Memorial Day Picnic Recipes

Memorial Day is almost here, and you know what that means! Picnic season! Wondering what to make for your next picnic or cook-out? We’ve got some delicious Memorial Day Picnic Recipes for you!

This winter wasn’t exactly normal, but even with all of the challenges and changes we’ve faced and are still facing, there are some things that remain the same. The weather eventually starts to warm up, the grass and trees start to turn a little greener every day, and that urge to get outside and have a cookout or a picnic starts to sink in. Perhaps that is one of the reasons why we all look forward to Memorial Day every year! It’s a day to honor our fallen military heroes, to celebrate the freedom they fought for and all the joy that the summer months have in store!

Something else that remains unchanged in these turbulent times is the dedication of our nation’s farmers and ranchers as they work every day to provide us with safe and healthy food for our tables. May is National Beef Month, making it the perfect time to throw some steaks and burgers on the grill and thank a beef farmer, like Marybeth from My Fearless Kitchen. She and her husband, John, raise cattle in Southern Indiana. You can visit Marybeth’s website to learn more about what her family does.  She’s also written a great post about summer food safety. As the temperatures rise and we start enjoying the outdoors, it’s important to do so in a way that keeps your family safe.

Beef is delicious as well as being loaded with protein, B Vitamins, Iron, and Zinc. It can, however, be a little confusing to decide which cuts of steak or type of ground beef to buy. Sarah from The Farmwife Crafts helps solve the mystery in this blog post.

So, we know you’ll be enjoying beef for your Memorial Day Picnic, but what about sides and dessert? Fortunately, some of our favorite bloggers have put together some delicious options for you! Check them out!
